For the second time, the Federal Republic of Germany is making a contribution to the International Architecture Biennial (BIA) in São Paulo, Brazil – after Venice it is the most important biennial on the theme world-wide.

The German contribution is entitled “Ready for Take-Off. Contemporary German Export Architecture”, and created by Peter Cachola Schmal as General Commissioner and Curator and Anna Hesse as Co-Curator, both of them from Deutsches Architekturmuseum DAM.

The contribution was commissioned by the Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Affairs (BMVBS) and the Federal Foreign Office (AA) and is also supported by the Deutsche Bank Bauspar AG and the City of Frankfurt/Main.
